Richmond American University London
guide name: tagPlease please please I beg anyone considering this university to look elsewhere. I cannot express the disdain I have for this university enough. Aside from a few quality professors (that are so overqualified to be working for Richmond), this university is made up of staff that should not have even been given an interview, let alone hired. In my few years at this university, they had ‘professors’ teaching students who did not even have their PHD and were grossly unaware of the subjects they were teaching. In most of my experiences you could tell that these ‘professors’ had just learned what they were teaching students as they read off of paragraph long slides of powerpoints and could barely answer a question without being vague or unhelpful. It is also a very small university which sometimes did have benefits but most of the time administrators used that fact as a way to understaff the campus. If you had an issue it would either take weeks to hear back from anyone or the issue would just be dismissed. It was almost like being helpful and providing reasonable solutions was too hard so they just gave up and screwed people over. Those working in the student hub never communicated with each other, you could be told one thing by someone and a different thing from the next. This resulted in countless issues that greatly impacted my life and future. It was not just me that experienced these problems either. All of my friends had similar stories about student affairs, registry, and the head of departments and their negligence. The price for this lousy university is egregious considering the quality of education you receive. I genuinely do not know how this university is still in existence. All they want is your money, they do not care about the experience they provide or the skills they are meant to to be teaching you.

Gunnersbury Park
guide name: Roobik EskandariA beautiful park located in west London. I visit the park most weekends. It has lots of open space and beautiful gardens, pondes, museum, kids play ground and sport facilities .The new coffee shop will open in December but you can get coffee from mobile vans within the park. Summer time live concerts are hosted at the park. You can spend couple of hours and enjoy the beauty and the nature.

The Grange
guide name: Sheena BoeseDid not disappoint! I used to live in the area many years ago and wanted to return with my family for a Sunday roast. The roast beef, pork and vegan roasts and Yorkshire puddings and vegetables were fantastic. The drinks list was great too. The Grange was busy with diners from opening. It clearly still has a great reputation!

Nando's Park Royal
guide name: Huda JaberSpecial thanks to Maria! Had such a lovely experience at Nando’s thanks to Maria! She was absolutely amazing — super kind, attentive, and made sure everything was on time and just right. Even though the restaurant was really busy, she stayed calm and professional, and her service didn’t slip for a second. She checked in on us at just the right moments — helpful without being overbearing — which made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. People like Marie really make a difference. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable!

Holiday Inn London - West
guide name: Dahir AbdiHorrible service. I have stayed at hotel 5 days and price changed daily after my 3rd night staying. Reservation at the receptionist was the worse thing ever. Not helpful and it my opinion not knowledgeable. I don’t why, I felt little discriminated. I feel even though, I paid the full price, I wasn’t appreciated it and they wanted to kick me out the hotel or to pay more money. Honestly is important, the first night, the night assistance manager was wonderful. However, everything after first night experience was horrible. I’ll not EVER rent Holiday Inn at any locations. Not this location, not Any UK locations or Anything location. What a rip-off Hotel.

Turnham Green
guide name: Dona Elena HatcherThis park right on Chiswick High Street is large, green and beautifully landscaped. I love all the unique places to sit and relax or bring your computer or book and snacks. While I was there, I saw a little football, parents with their kids, dogs getting excersized, people working on their computers or reading and relaxing. I really liked and recommend Turnam Green park when on Chiswick High Road.

Ealing Common
guide name: M C (The Old School Caretaker)A wide open local park. Perfect for locals and / or picnics. Very peaceful. No road noise, depending on where you choose to be. Easily reached from ealing common station and nearby bus stops. There's a pub on the corner of Warwick road, The Grange, if the heat, or lack of toilets get too much.

Gunnersbury Park Museum
guide name: Michael NsGunnersbury Park Museum is a charming local museum set in a lovely historic building. It’s free to enter, which is always a bonus. The exhibits offer some interesting insights into the area's past, but overall it feels a bit limited and could benefit from more interactive displays or updated content. Still, it’s a quiet, pleasant place for a short visit, especially if you're already enjoying the park.

North Acton Playing Fields
guide name: David WA large flat area with space for football games, and a small outdoor gym and playground. Walking across the long grass beside the central path, it was quite wet underfoot despite there having been little rain recently, so I would advise keeping to the surfaced paths especially in wet weather.

The Duke Of Sussex
guide name: Varvara KoupourdiadouVisited The Duke of Sussex with friends on a Monday evening and had a fantastic experience. The pub was quiet, allowing for a relaxed dining atmosphere, and the staff were attentive and welcoming. The weather added to the enjoyment, letting the evening unfold comfortably. The space is stunning, featuring high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, ornate wall moldings, and artful botanical prints. Every dish was beautifully presented. From the creative starters—like crispy arancini topped generously with cheese—to the fresh asparagus salad and vibrant carrot, chickpea, and feta salad, each plate demonstrated thoughtful preparation. The burger and fries were classic comfort food, served hot and well-seasoned. Dessert featured a decadent chocolate and hazelnut tart paired with creamy ice cream, finishing the meal on a high note. The background music was perfectly curated, enhancing the mood without overwhelming conversation. The overall quietness of the evening made it easy to enjoy both the food and company. Service was exceptional throughout the night. Staff were friendly and happy to help, providing great recommendations and attentive, genuine hospitality. Would highly recommend The Duke of Sussex for both its lovely ambiance and excellent food. Looking forward to returning again soon!

The Crown & Anchor
guide name: WKD AxeI popped into The Crown & Anchor recently and was blown away—not just by the venue, which is stylish and welcoming, but by the cappuccino I was served. Paul, the manager, personally made it for me, and it was nothing short of outstanding. The foam was perfectly textured, smooth and velvety, and the dark roast he used had a rich, bold flavour that most mainstream cafes can only dream of. You can tell Paul takes real pride in his work—every step was done with care and precision. It’s rare to find someone who not only knows their coffee inside out but also runs such a tight, well-managed operation. There are no shortcuts here as my cappuccino was better than what you’d get in most specialist coffee shops, let alone chain cafés. If you’re after a proper coffee made by someone who really knows their craft, The Crown & Anchor is the place to go.
