LSI Independent College

guide name: NEDA JAFARI

I’m incredibly happy with the experience my daughter had at LSI London Sixth Form College. She spent two wonderful years there studying three A-Level subjects, including Art & Design, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the support and education she received. The Art & Design teacher was amazing—so talented, patient, and always ready to help. Dr. Jan, her Business teacher, was equally outstanding, with deep knowledge and a passion for teaching that really inspired my daughter. A special thank you as well to Eda at reception, who was always kind, welcoming, and helpful. Most of all, we are truly grateful to Dr. Iman Hami, the Head of the School. He is not only a great leader but also a wonderful advisor who guided my daughter with care and wisdom throughout her journey. Thanks to the excellent education and support at LSI, my daughter has now progressed to university with fantastic results. A big thank you to all the staff at LSI London—your hard work, dedication, and support have made a real difference in our lives. We are so thankful for everything you’ve done

British College of Osteopathic Medicine Clinic

For years, I’ve struggled with a severely blocked nose every time I lay down. Despite going through various medical procedures and relying on nasal sprays nightly, nothing brought lasting relief. Frustrated and tired, I started looking into non-pharmaceutical options—and that’s when I came across cranial sacral therapy through ChatGPT. Curious and open-minded, I reached out to BCOM to see if they might be able to help. To my surprise and relief, they responded positively and offered me a choice between an individual session or a multi-hands session involving students under the supervision of a tutor. I chose the multi-hands session— I thought, why not give it a try? I arrived early on a Sunday morning and was warmly greeted by Tutor Magda, who immediately put me at ease. She introduced me to the two students participating in the session, Emma and Meg—both equally welcoming and professional. Once the session began, I was laid down and treated gently. I must have entered a deeply relaxed state, because the next thing I remember was waking up an hour later, feeling like I’d returned from another world. Magda explained that I might not notice any results for about seven days. Well—eight days later, I’m thrilled to say that my nose is completely unblocked. I haven’t touched a nasal spray since, which is honestly unbelievable for me. Most importantly, I can now breathe properly at night and sleep so much better. It’s been a life-changing improvement. All I can say is thank God for Magda, Emma, and Meg. They are incredibly skilled at what they do, and I’m beyond grateful for their help. I wholeheartedly recommend BCOM to anyone dealing with chronic issues—they may just change your life too. I’ll definitely be returning and will be recommending them to family and friends.

We went to the Halloween trail today and it was absolutely incredible! We had so much fun and there's so much to see. The amount of work and detail they have put into this trail is amazing! Parliament Hill Viewpoint

I recently visited Parliament Hill Viewpoint for the second time, and it was an enjoyable experience once again. The view from the hill is stunning, offering a panoramic glimpse of London. However, compared to my first visit, the tall trees have grown significantly, slightly obstructing the full city view. Despite this, the spot remains beautiful, especially on a warm day. The pleasant weather made it an ideal place to relax and soak up the sun. Parliament Hill is truly a fantastic location for both scenic views and unwinding outdoors.

Honestly this place is a great little gem in Hampstead. Near the park and a great garden area. As much as the meat was cold and the potato’s weren’t good, I will give it 5* for the vibe and service was brilliant. If I’m honest, the potato’s and meat need to be better. The potato’s were cooked too quick and the meat was cold. Everything else paid off for the 5* review. Service was perfect and the decor was brilliant.

The Holly Bush, Hampstead

Had an absolute brilliant time at the Holly Bush in Hampstead. It had been on my bucket list for ages and as this was my first trip to London I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss out. We arrived an hour before our booking and grabbed a table in the front bar and took in the ambiance over a couple of cocktails. We then went upstairs for our lunch, everything was so delicious and the service was fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Smashing place to see a movie with armchair seating and fresh popped corn along with tasty barista coffee. Pricing about the same as the usual multiplex but personable service and well curated viewing list coupled with menu ordering from the pews makes it much better value.

The George

We recently held a memorial at The George, a favourite place of Vinces, which was organised from overseas. Leila was very understanding and made the process of organising less stressful. Ben set up a section of the pub for our group, showing compassion and the Geogre staff were friendly and efficient. The food was fresh and very tasty with our group commenting on the variety which catered for vegetarians and meaties. We were allowed to conclude the day by sending off our Vin with bubbles being blown out the back, listening to One Love. We cannot thank the considerate and friendly staff at The George enough for their support. I highly recommend The George for its friendliness, efficiency, fabulous food and atmosphere. We will be back. 🫶🤍

Ordered and paid for fish and chips. Then I asked about how we get malt vinegar, and they informed me they ran out yesterday. Staff was indifferent and didn’t offer to change my order. If you require malt vinegar with your fish and chips, ask before you order and pay. We ended up buying a bottle of malt vinegar at the local market across the street while we waited for our food. The fish and chips (and garden peas) were excellent.

We came to celebrate our lovely friend’s birthday and it was a really wonderful experience. Fabulous food expertly prepared by Head Chef Sukri at Gaucho Hampstead, great flavours, big portions and very attentive service. The restaurant was clean and the ambiance was perfect. Also I love that they had some delicious alcohol free sparkling wine to recommend, as many of us do not drink alcohol anymore. Thank you for hosting us at Gaucho. We look forward to returning again very soon with our families.

We decided to have Sunday roast at The Wells Tavern. The pub and outdoor seating was packed (I magic erased all the people). However, we were lead upstairs for our Sunday roast meal. It is night and day different upstairs. It is elegant and quiet. We had a wonderful meal. The liver pate was delicious as was the fresh tomato and burrata salad. And of course, the roast beef was sensational!! I highly recommend dining in the upstairs rooms. I can't speak to the pub, but based on the crowd of people it must be sensational also.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Tiffin Tin! The food was bursting with authentic flavours – fresh, perfectly spiced, and beautifully cooked. Every dish tasted like it was made with real care. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The portions were generous, the prices fair, and the atmosphere cosy and welcoming. If you’re looking for delicious, high-quality Indian cuisine in Mill lane, The Tiffin Tin is a must-visit. The Magdala Tavern

guide name: London Pub Map

🚇 Hampstead Heath 🍺 £6.90 Siren Lumina IPA Tucked away at the southern tip of Hampstead Heath, you’ll find The Magdala Tavern. Hampstead Heath station is just a short stroll away. Built in 1860, the pub takes its name from the Battle of Magdala in 1868. It’s also infamous for a darker chapter in history: Ruth Ellis, the last woman hanged in the UK, shot her lover right outside in 1955. In the ’90s, a cheeky landlady even drilled two fake bullet holes under a window to lure in punters. Step inside and you’re transported to the 1930s, thanks to a Charringtons brewery refit that’s still intact. The left bar is light and airy, with an open kitchen and plenty of comfy seats, plus a walled outdoor nook for sunny days. The right bar goes full vintage — curved servery, wood panelling, fireplace, dimpled banquettes, and black-and-white film star portraits. A gorgeous feature of the pub is the stained glass windows, a Charringtons trademark. Beer lovers, rejoice. The line-up covers both familiar favourites and indies, with cask ales in the mix. I went for a Siren Lumina IPA — crisp, refreshing, perfect for a hot day… though the £6.90 price tag is definitely on the premium side. The food menu swings between gastro dishes and pub classics, with roasts taking centre stage on Sundays. I visited just after noon on a sweltering Bank Holiday Monday in August. At first, it was blissfully quiet, but it soon filled with hungry, thirsty punters. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, the service was spot on — the team were warm, upbeat, and genuinely welcoming. All in all, The Magdala Tavern has it all: history, character, brilliant decor, great beer, and a food menu with plenty of fans. I had a cracking time here — 10/10 would recommend. Follow @themagdalahampstead for updates. 📅 25th August 2025 If you want to see all my pub reviews in one place, head to @londonpubmap on Instagram or Facebook. 🍻
