Camberwell Leisure Centre
guide name: Dom HowardThis is an excellent gym. It has a full range of equipment and because it's not too crowded I never have any problem getting on to a machine or using the weights I need. I use a PT there (Gleicio) who is superb; highly professional, knowledgeable, motivational but also friendly. I'm so much stronger now, and he's transformed the way I train. I'd recommend him to anybody who is serious about their fitness and strength.

guide name: Leigh HullWhoever the older Guy is on reception with the grey hair and foreign accent is, He needs to get some training in dealing with the general public. I came in all smiles and needing assistance with a delivery I was making. Extremely rude and unhelpful. Bordering on being a bully. Can’t imagine how He treats His own family. This Guy is supposed to represent the collage?

The Kia Oval
guide name: Jayesh MohaneWent to watch Day 4 of the England vs India Test Match at The Oval—what an unforgettable experience! The atmosphere was incredible: a mix of passionate cheers, playful boos, and constant energy from the crowd. You could really feel the tension and excitement with every ball. The view of the field and players was excellent, and it was easy to stay immersed in the game. There were plenty of laughs and friendly conversations with fellow fans—people around us were super welcoming and happy to chat cricket. There’s a wide variety of food and drink options, from classic fish and chips to Indian food, masala tea, beers, ciders, and soft drinks. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but that’s expected at a stadium, and the quality is solid. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. A fantastic spot to enjoy a day of cricket! The Oval really delivers when it comes to creating a lively, memorable day out. Highly recommend catching a match here!

Burgess Park
guide name: Indra WibawaSpent the afternoon playing tennis at Burgess Park, and it was honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made this week. The courts are set against a backdrop of open greenery, and with the sun out, the whole space had a really clean, refreshing vibe. The blue surface of the court contrasts beautifully with the surrounding park — it almost feels like you’re playing in a postcard. After a good match, I walked over to a nearby coffee shop just off the park. It’s a small, quiet spot with outdoor seating, perfect for cooling down. I grabbed an iced latte and sat back, watching the late afternoon settle in. Between the match, the scenery, and the coffee, it was the perfect mix of activity and downtime. It’s wheelchair friendly!

guide name: Melanie YoungHad SUCH a good time here. Dropped in for an R&B night. The DJ was great, the drinks were reasonably priced. I didn’t have food but the options smelled amazing and I will definitely be trying some when I come back. This was a great venue to meet locals when visiting town.

Kennington Park
guide name: REGVery Pleasant park to stroll, take the air, play a quick game of frisbee, and sample some local Sourdough pizza within on a sunny September monday eve. I imagine this park is also pleasant on other days and potentially in other weather conditions but nice weather always helps you enjoy a park I find. There are a range of facilities in this park including Collective; a nice cafe offering pizza and Ice cream, and some ping pong tables. These tables were very busy when I arrived and stayed busy until the end of the eve, precluding me from indulging in a quick game.

Myatt's Fields Park
guide name: Yus AliWhat a lovely stroll in a local park not far from where we live. The park has many walk paths, greenery and views. There are several little garden sections which is also great. Tennis, basketball and football courts can also be rented out, there’s a beautiful hut at the centre of the park which is also great to take some photos or relax in there too! I recommend this park to anyone in the area who lives a stone throw away to visit here. I’m sure we will be back again as this is now our local gem or a park.

guide name: Charlotte BradburySuch a wonderful place. Everyone is so friendly (Lella is amazing), and the food is GORGEOUS. Particularly liked the freshness of the ingredients on the sourdough bases. We had a tomato base pizza, and a white base pizza: both really flavourful. Thanks FM Brixton!

Fentiman Arms
guide name: Blank SlaateWe came here for a Sunday roast and they did not disappoint. We were welcomed by the hostess and everyone else in the restaurant. They were super accommodating in seating us, and we never had to flag anyone down once we’d been sat at our table. My chicken roast was heavenly; chicken was tasty, juicy, and all the veggies cooked perfectly. The pudding was perfect as well. We had a few starters, and dessert as well. It was my first time but Fentiman’s had been recommended to me by two different groups of people so I knew it had to be good. Atmosphere was nice, everyone was in good spirits and I liked how there was ample space in the establishment. Definitely go there for a superb roast or even just an afternoon hangout.

O Cantinho De Portugal
guide name: KRIWe come for the food and return for the service! Probably my favourite restaurant in London. Particularly for the reason dogs are allowed and the food is just super high quality and taste for the pricing. We love Carla, she gave us 11/10 service, as does the whole team. Red sangria and the vegetarian Francesinha are the best

Silk Road
guide name: Jonathan FrewinWe were big fans of this place in its rustic former incarnation, so worried about the refurbishment, but fears were unfounded. It’s been done really tastefully and the food is better than we remembered it. Somehow the prices don’t seem to have been bumped up for the renovation either. The pork with black fungus, as well as the aubergine were particularly memorable.

The Camberwell Arms
guide name: Joe PuskoriusPhenomenal place for a Sunday lunch. The food quality is top notch. The scotch bonnet pork fat was incredible, and the steak and bone marrow pie was excellent, can easily feed 3 which is very good value for London these days. Also, can't not mention the roasties - probably the best roast potato I've ever had!
