guide name: PahrisGreenwich Park: Where Autumn Leaves Meet Canine Social Hierarchy Greenwich Park in autumn transforms into a kaleidoscope of colours that could genuinely rival Kew Gardens – russets, golds, and burnt oranges cascading across the landscape with the sort of natural drama that makes you forgive London for being predominantly grey the rest of the year. The park was predictably crowded, which is what happens when you combine spectacular foliage with a World Heritage Site and reasonable Tube access. But the real revelation was the sheer density of dog walkers – an overwhelming canine convention that made me feel conspicuously incomplete without a lead in hand. It's as if Greenwich Park operates an unspoken membership requirement: bring dog, gain entry to secret autumn appreciation society. I watched labradors bound through leaf piles, terriers negotiate the steep hills with determined intensity, and various designer breeds pose for Instagram with their equally well-groomed owners. Meanwhile, I wandered solo like some sort of suspicious character who'd forgotten the password. The leaves themselves were genuinely magnificent – nature's final flourish before winter's arrival, each tree competing for most dramatic colour transformation. Sweet chestnuts glowed golden, oaks blazed copper, and the occasional scarlet burst from Japanese maples added theatrical punctuation to the palette. But without a dog, I felt oddly exposed – like attending a fancy dress party in regular clothes while everyone else committed fully to the theme. Four stars for the autumn display, minus one for making solo, dog-free humans feel like social outcasts. Next time: borrow a spaniel for credibility.

guide name: Shiwen DDWe came for the Lady Gaga concert on October 2, 2025, and were pleasantly surprised. The crowd was huge, but security and entry were very efficient. The restaurants inside were great, and staff were super helpful. Last time I saw Gaga it was at a much bigger stadium, but honestly O2 was better — from the entrance, restaurants, and show to even the toilets, everything was smoother and nicer. I was here about 5–10 years ago, and the improvements are obvious. The new security scanners are especially convenient since you don’t need to take things out of your bag or pockets. Overall, the O2 Arena is an amazing venue. Highly recommend.

guide name: Alexander KempFantastic market in the heart of the old town of Greenwhich. A great variety of food and good for Christmas gifts and trinkets. There is a nice art and poster shop as well. Very good coffee on offer and don’t miss the old school pie and eel shop just as you enter or exit the market. The prices were reasonable as well.

guide name: Chris B (Chris)Really interesting historic boat that isn't about the military. The exhibit is in very good condition and eerily held up from the floor (for good reason as they explain) allowing you to walk under it which just feels weird?! Views are good from the top deck and some very informative videos and side panels throughout. Various ad hoc performances and offerings provided throughout the day (we did some rope making which the kids enjoyed), toilets are in good order, cafe available at the end and about a dozen lockers available for bags (need a £1 coin but you get it back). Really solid visit, would recommend but you will get it done in a couple of hours.

Royal Observatory Greenwich
guide name: Chris B (Chris)Very interesting place to visit with beautiful views from both inside and outside the Observatory. Packed full of information and exhibits which explains how and why the Observatory was so important, particularly for maritime exploration. Toilets are available but down some stairs, unsure if there were any accessible toilets. The Observatory is, unsurprisingly, on a hill and it is quite steep if you are approaching it across the park from the maritime museum direction. There is a longer route if you need a shallower hill. We didn't use this route but the sign said it takes 18 min compared to 6 min for the direct hill route. Kids loved it and a nice shop at the end too. Definitely recommend.

guide name: Oana GusatuAmazing place. So much to do and see. The Pirates exhibition was a bit underwhelming focusing more on fictional characters than real pirates. The children’s gallery downstairs was amazingly entertaining. The cafe on floor 1 has a few basic items like scones and a few sandwiches but no fruit for kids.

guide name: Urban StayWow! This has got to be the best pub in all of London!! The beer garden is amazing with the beautiful lights. The interior is just stunning!! I want to live here 😍. The food was outstanding- large portions and seriously the best pub food selection and taste we've had anywhere in 11 years living in London. Live music was yet another plus! Loved it so much!!

Up at The O2
guide name: DavidI went to Up at the 02 on 29 October 2025. It was something I have wanted to do for a long time, as I had a Red Letter day voucher given as a present. When the day arrived, I felt nervous but excited to climb at Up at the 02. The two ladies staff members were so friendly when l went to the Base Camp before the climb. They showed me to a room where the Safety Briefing was and other people doing the climb came in the room. After we had watched a short video explaining the procedure, the Instructor Max introduced himself to us. He was so enthusiastic and friendly and had a great sense of humour. Even though it was raining, I felt safe with him instructing us all. He was very knowledgeable and gave interesting facts about London and the 02 during the climb and I really enjoyed the experience. After we had come back to the Base Camp, we were able to go to the Gift shop to look at the photos taken before and during the climb. I would recommend this to anyone. guide name: KypriopoullaI came across this pub on my walk an;d what a great find it was. From the front it looks to be small but once you step inside is a whole new concept. It has a lot of seating to dine either inside, in the garden or by the covered patio with amazing views across the Thames and the O2. Even we didn't stop for lunch the roast dinners that came out looked and smelled amazing, so we will be returning very soon. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. We have liked everything about this establishment. August 2025 Went back for the good as it did looked nice when we first visited. The food was very tasty, staff were friendly and attentive and we have enjoyed the experience so we ate going to go back for the Sunday roast.

guide name: M Alam KhanOverall, it’s a decent place with a nice variety of Indian, Italian, and Chinese dishes. Some of the food is just average, but my favourite is definitely the beef steak, it’s flavorful and well-cooked. They also serve noodles, though those could be improved as they lack authentic taste. The dessert section is quite limited, with only a few options available. Still, it’s a good spot if you want to try different cuisines in one place and enjoy a satisfying meal overall.
