Queen Mary University of London
guide name: Laurence StewartAcheived a first class degree in Theoretical Physics here. Was encouraged to apply for postgraduate study by my supervisor but there was no funding avaliable on account of my being White and British. 4 years on I am facing homelessness. If you're white and male you're better off killing yourself than attending this University or any other for that matter 0/10

London Buddhist Centre
guide name: Epifania Amoo-AdareGoing to the London Buddhist Centre was the best decision I have ever made in a long time. The atmosphere is zen. The folk working there are so very lovely, especially the gentleman at reception. It is also in a great location, which pulls in a really diverse bunch of people. The bookshop is also amazing with so many gems. Wish I was still living in Hackney, I would be a regular at the Centre for sure.

Adore Dance London
guide name: Kate WilliamsMy daughter and I have been attending the parent & child dance classes at Adore Dance for a couple of months now. I can honestly say it has become the highlight of our week. Amy is a wonderful teacher. She is kind, fun and incredibly patient - it is clear that every single child in the room adores her! I wasn't sure what to expect when we arrived for our first class but Amy put me instantly at ease. The lessons are relaxed, fun and upbeat. They are thoughtfully structured with a variety of activities that rotate each week. After just a few classes the toddlers are able to follow along themselves without much parent involvement. Since starting the classes, I have seen my daughter grow in confidence and flourish. I thought I was signing up for just another toddler activity, but these classes are so much more than that. I can see us staying with adore dance hopefully for years to come.

ABBA Arena
guide name: SallyAbsolutely amazing. The light show is fantastic but it’s the concert that seems so incredible it plays with your mind, in a good way! I would go again tomorrow and if you haven’t been don’t miss out because come May 2026 it will be gone. Also as a disabled visitor, the venue was amazing making it so easy for me and my friends to attend, from booking to the free disabled parking , through to seating. More places should follow their example. FABULOUS

London Stadium
guide name: Efe ZeybelA beautiful stadium located in a slightly distant part of the city, yet still quite accessible for those living nearby. It’s a very large venue, but since it’s an Olympic stadium, the viewing experience is quite poor — you’re too far from the pitch and the action. Playing football in an Olympic stadium is truly a disaster for the sport. The food areas are nice and offer plenty of variety, and the shopping mall right next to it is a great detail for spending time before or after the match.

Mile End Park
guide name: Michèle Saint MichelI sat on a bench at Mile End Park with a chai from the Victoria Park Pavilion and a Buns From Home that almost made me believe in romance again. The vanilla custard was cold was cold but not unfriendly. Everything felt open. I sat all my bags down, chewed slowly, and decided to plan out the rest of my life. Not in a dramatic way. More—okay, here we are. Something about this park lets you think big thoughts without panic. Horses exercise here. People cycle by. And the city softens like brioche. Highly recommend for life pivots, gentle breakdowns, or overfilled pastries you want to eat in peace.

Zip World London at ArcelorMittal Orbit
guide name: Cire Zhu (Cire)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) I visited the ArcelorMittal Orbit on the afternoon of November 2nd, and it was absolutely amazing! The view from the top is breathtaking — honestly one of the best places to visit in London for photographers. The environment was spotless, and even the background music was so tasteful that it made the whole experience feel relaxing and elegant. I ended up staying until they closed because I just didn’t want to leave! The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. I’ll definitely be coming back next time with my friends — highly recommended!

CRATE Brewery & Pizzeria
guide name: Eleanor CookI love Crate and have been coming here for years. The pizza is great and the drinks are really great! There are multiple alcohol-free options which is good for me, and it's super easy to make changes to your pizza choices! Sitting along the canal is always so lovely and the buzz of conversation is so nice. However, when you get to the evening, the music is turned up so uncomfortably loud and it's really hard to enjoy yourself after that. If the weather isn't amazing, you want to be inside or under the heaters, but if you're there, you can't hear yourself think, let alone the person next to you! We've had to leave multiple times because the music was too loud! This is a pub, not a club!

Pavilion Cafe Victoria Park
guide name: Katy de lepperThis was a lovely stop. What an amazing cafe to stop by when you're having a stroll in the park. I had the cheese and kimchi toasty and it was perfect. Gooey salty melted cheese on a crispy sourdough bread, all balanced out with some sour kimchi to the side. Exactly what i wanted. We also got some baked goods. The Chocolate au pain, chocolate chip cookie and a cinnamon roll. All baked perfectly to my liking. Airy soft au pain, chewy dens cinnamon roll and soft and chewy chocolate cookies. Personally i liked the vibe a lot, especially with some nice reggae music to accompany my lunch. Thank you so much!

guide name: Kate ZFirst time visiting traditional English pie, mash and eel shop - and I’m really impressed! A delicious Minced Beef pie and mash (dairy-free! 😃) is under 5£🤩 I took a take-away without a liquor, but now would love to go there again to try iconic liquor and eel 😁

The Crown
guide name: Linda TalosIt is my new favorite Sunday roast in the west end/mile end/Victoria park area. We came around 1pm on a Sunday and were able to score a table on the terrasse. The food was ready in about 15 mins which helped a lot since we were in a hurry this time. We go to lunches often in the area and overall this is the best we had this year. I marked the place as my fav to go for a beef roast. The meat was tender and juicy, the trimmings were perfectly roasted and the amount of gravy and horseradish was just right. Compliments to the chefs! The dining areas were full of people eating so the locals know this is the place to eat lunch on a Sunday. They also do chicken, pork and veggie options for roast. Service was friendly and attentive. The pub is just south of Victoria park close to Regent's Canal. We will be regulars from now on.

McDonald's
guide name: Eunice LondonVery DISAPPOINTED every time I go to the drive through they always give me half empty drinks this is getting ridiculous if I’m paying for a drink why must it be half empty ? I paid with full money I did not pay half price for the drinks ! I complained about this to the guy who served me he told me it’s half because there is no ice in the drink. Common sense not everyone likes to have ice in their drink people have sensitive teeth and this does not justify the reason why the cup should be half empty its like saying your drink it not full because you requested for no bubbles or fizz in the drink ! When you go to the shop to buy a drink do you ever buy it half empty ? No it’s always full so this Is really a scam I request for a refund the member of staff told me mc Donald’s does not give refunds to customers!!!! I returned all 6 drinks and told him I want my money refunded !!!!!! he went away and filled the drinks after he had said to me the drinks can’t be filled up to the top it’s done by a machine don’t human have to press start on the drinks machine that’s a complete lie! now when I got the drinks they were still half empty and only to find out he had added water to all our 6 drinks it had zero taste the drinks were very plain it was basically water this is absolutely shocking behaviour. Chips are cold not enough sauce added to the burgers it’s pure lettuce dry food !!!! Never again

Roman Road Market
guide name: Nithin FrederickRoman Road Market is a solid spot if you’re looking for affordable clothing, shoes, and everyday fashion. There are several stalls with decent variety, especially for casual wear and accessories. It’s a good place to grab a bargain on basics without spending too much. That said, the food options are quite limited—don’t expect the same street food experience you’d get at other London markets. The atmosphere also varies a lot depending on the day; some days it’s lively, other times it feels quiet or a bit run-down. A decent local market for clothes shopping, but not a must-visit if you’re expecting a vibrant food and culture scene.
