Nuffield Health Wandsworth Southside Fitness & Wellbeing Gym

guide name: Noman Ahmad

I’ve been a member here on and off since 2015, but consistent since 2021. The front desk staff are always friendly, especially the lady on Friday evenings who greets everyone with a smile and makes you feel welcome. The pool is excellent — I lost 18kg just from swimming here — and the jacuzzi is one of the best you’ll find for the price. About two years ago I started weight training with my PT, Gregor. He’s a brilliant trainer and a genuinely good person, and the plan he gave me is still the one I follow today. More recently I joined Carmelina Massaro’s Tuesday HIIT class, which is excellent and really adds variety to my training. Nearly ten years on, I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here.

I had a great experience at Nuffield Gym Wandsworth (Burr Road). The facilities are clean, well-equipped, and ideal for all types of workouts. Jarryd provided excellent customer service, very informative, friendly, and went above and beyond to help my family member get started. His support made the onboarding process smooth and welcoming. I highly recommend this gym and team.

The Little Gym Wandsworth & Fulham

I started taking my son to the little gym this year, after trying out various local P&T classes. This is the only activity that’s really resonated with my son and he loves it. The equipment is fantastic and the space is so open and they even have tea and coffee making facilities for adults! Since we started my sons (now 3) confidence and core strength has really come on and we have noticed the difference in his physical development. A special mention to Joe and Jack who have gone out of their way to get both my son and I settled. They also do fantastic holiday camps too! I would recommend the little gym Fulham to my friends without hesitation!

We had a lovely celebration of our daughters 18th birthday. We had a bottomless brunch. Quite often on these kinds of lunches the food is not very nice. However the food at Banana tree was fantastic. We had a very lovely waitress called Jinal. She gave us a complimentary birthday cake with ice cream for our daughter. We were definitely recommend the banana tree and will be returning soon.

I really appreciated having a safe place for my dog. It was my first time visiting, and it was easy to take my dog on a leash or let him roam freely, following the posted guidelines for each section of the park. I especially love what they've done with the pond; it's my favorite part of the park. However, there was an issue with the restroom facilities. I followed the directions to get to the toilet, and it was close by, but it was a bit inconvenient during my visit.

Wandsworth Park

guide name: Thomas Mutton

Edwardian era park situated in-between the Thames and the Putney Bridge Road. There is a large grass area in the middle with a walking path going all the way around it with a cycle path skirting the river. There are tennis courts here, mini golf and public toilets. Two water fountains on the path (these also cater for dogs). Some art sculptures can be found on the paths. A lovely park to walk in.

The White Horse

guide name: London Pub Map

🚇 Parsons Green 🍺 £8.35 Hawkstone session ipa The White Horse Is located in leafy Parsons Green in Fulham, Southwest London. The nearest Tube is Parsons Green. There’s been a coaching inn on this spot since 1688, once serving as one of the last stops for travellers heading into London. It was rebuilt in 1778, destroyed by fire in 1881, and rebuilt again in 1882—the building you see today. Known affectionately as ‘The Sloaney Pony’, the pub earned its nickname from the upscale, fashionable ‘Sloane Ranger’ crowd that’s been drawn to the area since the 1980s. This sizeable one-bar pub blends traditional Victorian decor with modern touches. At its heart is a grand mahogany servery with a striking back bar. At the front and left are comfy scarlet banquettes with classic tables and chairs, while the back left of the bar has a more casual feel with benches, a cosy corner, vintage beer signage, and a Bass mirror. On the right, there’s a snug by the window, further down are rustic pews, an ornate marble fireplace, a portrait of an English gentleman with a white horse, and a flagstone floor. At the back is a vaulted dining area, and out front, a beer garden with umbrella-covered tables overlooking the green. The beer selection is excellent, with a broad mix of mainstream, premium, and independent brews, including five cask ales. I went for a @hawkstone session IPA—great pint, but cost a whopping £8.35! 😬 The food menu features modern British pub classics: fish and chips comes in at £20, and roasts are available on Sundays. I arrived at 12 pm on a pleasant Saturday lunchtime in May. The pub had just opened its doors and was already seeing a steady influx of punters. The atmosphere was chilled and laid-back, so settling in was easy and gave me a chance to have a good mooch around. The service was on point—the team were welcoming and friendly. This is a stunning Victorian pub with a superb (if pricey) selection of beers, lovely decor, and friendly service. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and definitely recommend a visit—just maybe not for the sesh. Putney Bridge

guide name: Mitch Helwig

Putney Bridge is a truly magical spot, especially on a clear night. It's a great place to stand and watch the full moon rise over the Thames, all while listening to the beautiful chiming bells of St Mary's Church in the background. The footbridge is thoughtfully designed with convenient insets, allowing you to easily step aside from the steady flow of walkers and bikers. Additionally, you are just steps away from the Upper Boat ramp, making it a perfect starting point for a riverside stroll.

Rob was our server and was amazing! We ordered the trio roast and cauliflower cheese, which was delicious (highly recommend) Our table was a tad too small for the massive plate of food we ordered, so we got moved to a really nice table. Lovely cosy Sunday lunch, we will be back! x

Wonderful food, great service, lovely views over the river. I remember when it was all factories so a welcome change to the area. Had a great night out with the family and Tom our server was excellent and very friendly ! ( only one thing, music was turned up a bit too loud, and couldn’t hear what people were saying to me!, otherwise all ok)

We found this to not be as good as other Young’s pubs. The chicken ham and leek pie was disappointing, and nowhere as good as a chicken ham and leek pie the night before at the Windmill (another Young’s pub). You go for the location, not the food. We had a table outside and that meant we were able to enjoy the atmosphere.

Quality food. Good selection on menu of breakfasts with bottomless tea and coffee and large portions all at a very reasonable cost. All the staff are very friendly and there is no rush to place an order. A jewel of Clapham Junction!

The Fairy House by Fairytale Friends

guide name: Nicola H.M

I booked the experience for my 3 year old daughters birthday. The guests ages ranged from 3-7 and they were all completely captivated by the whole experience. It was super immersive and such a beautiful space. Katie has really thought of every little detail. I added the countdown letter pack which my daughter was eager to open every evening in the run up to her fairy party and it really added to the magic of the whole thing. It was truly a magical day that my daughter and her friends will never forget. Every little girl should have a party here! Thank you SO much Katie!
