Hackney Care For Kids
guide name: Victoria LewisAbsolutely fantastic nursery. My daughter has been here for over a year now and the quality of care and education she’s receiving is outstanding. The staff are kind, caring and very supportive of us as a family, and the children seem really happy there. The fact that it’s a large nursery building with two gardens and fantastic facilities is an added bonus. It’s a lovely, quiet location but is only about 2 minutes walk from Rectory Rd station, so very convenient for people working in the city. Thoroughly recommend and wish I’d found it sooner!

Round Chapel Families
guide name: Carolina SankarsinghOur daughter attended the Round Chapel and we couldn't have been happier with how she has progressed in her time there. The whole team of staff are like family to her. She talks about them every day when she gets home and tells me all the brilliant things she did with them, how playful they all are and how she loves them. She settled in wonderfully and immediately felt at home. She is always happy to go and whenever I come collect her she is having so much fun she frequently doesn't want to leave! She has developed and learned so much in her time here, especially with her language and social skills. One of the fun things about the round chapel is that we can always observe the children when we drop off and collect and they always seem to be having the time of their life, including the staff who genuinely enjoy our children. It is truly a nursery for our Clapton community and it's exactly the kind of warm and nurturing place I would recommend to any parent to send their child to.

Hackney Downs Park
guide name: MISS WDowns Park have served so many and since I’ve moved here 11 years ago, it had served me and my son daily. The Park rangers especially Chris who is a saviour for so many people is genuinely what I think keeps Downs Park safe, loved and respected. It is never an easy job to care for nature and the people around it. Always grateful for all the park rangers and the council for making sure the people have their green space! Much appreciated

The Best Turkish Kebab
guide name: Ali kYou know how some tastes just stick with you? That's what happened after I stumbled upon what I can only describe as the best Turkish kebab. It was years ago, with my uncle, and I've been chasing that flavour ever since. I've tried kebabs all over the world, but nothing compares to the memory of that first bite. The kebab itself was a masterpiece. The meat was wonderfully fatty and rich, with a texture that was incredibly soft. Each bite was a melt-in-your-mouth experience, a perfect symphony of flavour. They had a great selection of spices, creating a taste that was complex and deeply satisfying without being overpowering. This kebab didn't need any frills; a squeeze of fresh lemon juice was all it took to elevate it to perfection. This isn't just a meal—it's a revelation. For years, the memory of this kebab has lingered, a benchmark against which all others fail. This is the one you dream about, the one you'll travel for. If you're looking for an authentic, unforgettable kebab experience, you've found it.

Aziziye Restaurant
guide name: Zeynep KucukkoseThere is simply not enough words to describe my feelings for this place. The food is delicious every time I come here, the service is very polite and timed well, as well as hospitality. The atmosphere is an unbelievable experience for me, the authentic tables, private seating areas are brilliant for anyone who comes here as a couple or a busy family. Definitely would be on the top of the list of places I would advise for people to enjoy their meals.

Aziziye Mosque
guide name: Chiho SharpI went to the mosque for the first time, or to be exact, my very first visit to a mosque. Organised by a photography group and went to take photos. As you go in, you can see a beautiful blue carpet where you take shoes off and the stairs. In the main room, you see gorgeous decorations and paintings amongst the blue, creating a calming space. It used to be a cinema and Turkish Islamic Association turned this place into this gorgeous mosque. Everyone is welcome and there are scarves that they can use if you don’t have one. I took mine with me and used it. There is a washing place where you wash hands and face in a toilet before praying. Then take your shoes off and men go to the main room and women go to the upper balcony where you can see the main room from above. It’s a very nice place to do self-reflection and say prayers.

Black Cat café
guide name: Alexey PechorinGreat and pleasant service, pleasant atmosphere, the food is great and portion size is large! The preparation takes a bit of time, so take it into account. I took the cat breakfast as I was pretty hungry, but in retrospect the kitten breakfast would've been better for me, finished pretty stuffed! Would definitely recommend and come back here :)

The Dove
guide name: Eduard AnisimovWe came as a group of four and had an absolutely wonderful experience! We tried a wide variety of dishes, and every single one was fantastic — full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. The highlight? The signature burgers, limited to just 10 per day — an absolute gem! Bursting with flavor and totally worth it. Can’t recommend this place enough!

LARDO
guide name: Loris BRICARDIt’s a really nice wine bar and restaurant, with a very cosy atmosphere. The pizzas were quite good for value and it’s a lovely place to relax and enjoy good food. As a French person, I found the wine good, though the lower-priced options on the menu were quite expensive for what they were and not necessarily the best, but of course, that probably doesn’t reflect the whole wine list. I’ve only been there once, but it’s definitely a great spot to enjoy a warm, welcoming ambiance and a tasty meal.

guide name: A SJust went here last minute after our midwife appointment at Homerton hospital. We went for the top reviews and how close walk it was from the hospital. It was during the lunchtime and was empty. We really enjoyed the food and the service. We would love to come back and see during the evening for the atmosphere and try their cocktails.

Mangal 2 Restaurant
guide name: Ajay Patel⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mangal 2 is an absolute treat. The food was next-level — perfectly grilled, packed with flavour, and you can tell they use really fresh ingredients. Every bite had that proper smoky, comforting kick you only get at the best Turkish spots. Service was brilliant too — super friendly and relaxed, which just made the whole experience even better. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in London in a long time. Can’t wait to go back!
