Tate Britain
guide name: James KeelerTate Britain is a must-visit museum for anyone interested in British art and culture. The highlight is undoubtedly its expansive J.M.W. Turner collection, which offers a breathtaking look at one of the nation’s most celebrated artists, from early sketches to his most evocative seascapes and atmospheric masterpieces. The sheer depth and presentation of Turner’s work make it worth the visit alone. Beyond Turner, the museum also features an impressive range of modern and contemporary artworks. The galleries are spacious, well-curated, and allow plenty of room to enjoy works without feeling rushed. The building itself has a quiet elegance that adds to the experience, making it a peaceful yet inspiring place to explore. Overall, Tate Britain is a standout cultural destination in London. Perfect for both art enthusiasts and casual visitors who want to experience the richness and diversity of creativity.

Battersea Power Station
guide name: RashaadWent for a wander on a weekend and it’s impressive how much they’ve done with the space. The old industrial shell is now a sleek mix of retail, dining, and residential, but it still holds onto its architectural character. Grabbed a coffee and walked the riverside—plenty of spots to sit, people-watch, or browse. It’s polished, a bit curated, but not soulless. Feels more like a lifestyle hub than a tourist trap. Good for a low-key afternoon, especially if you’re meeting someone or just want a change of scenery without heading central.

The Oval
guide name: Jayesh MohaneWent to watch Day 4 of the England vs India Test Match at The Oval—what an unforgettable experience! The atmosphere was incredible: a mix of passionate cheers, playful boos, and constant energy from the crowd. You could really feel the tension and excitement with every ball. The view of the field and players was excellent, and it was easy to stay immersed in the game. There were plenty of laughs and friendly conversations with fellow fans—people around us were super welcoming and happy to chat cricket. There’s a wide variety of food and drink options, from classic fish and chips to Indian food, masala tea, beers, ciders, and soft drinks. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but that’s expected at a stadium, and the quality is solid. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. A fantastic spot to enjoy a day of cricket! The Oval really delivers when it comes to creating a lively, memorable day out. Highly recommend catching a match here!

Park Plaza London Riverbank
guide name: Craig LampertRoom was perfect. The small "couch" pulls out to a bed. Pool is small but does the trick when we need a change of gears for the kids. Breakfast was very good. Eggs and pancakes to order along with a large buffet offering. Short walk to/from the Underground. A bus stop right out front is also a good option as long as you're not using during high traffic times. Staff was helpful providing additional dining options near by as well.

Rosa's Thai Victoria
guide name: Charles BuethnerStopped by Rosa's for our first meal in the UK. It was splendid. The food was very good and our server (Bell) was exceptional. She spoke fluently in English (for me) and in Thai (for my partner). This was a great added touch to a wonderful overall experience.

Preto Victoria - Brazilian Steakhouse BBQ
guide name: Anne ToddWe had an early lunch midweek. The staff were very friendly, and everything seemed very clean. The food is traditional Brazilian, with a salad bar and huge skewers of meat brought to the table. It wasn’t cheap, so only good value for money if you have a big appetite, but it’s something a bit different. (I chose the vegetarian option, which was very tasty with a good selection to choose from, but fairly expensive for a no-meat meal.) We enjoyed the lunch, and decided the price was fair for London given the quality of the food. There was both inside and outside seating. As we were early and midweek, it was not busy, and was a good place to chat. (Some London venues are too noisy for a conversation.) It’s a very short walk from Victoria Station, so an excellent place to meet friends. The dress code was casual.

Seafresh - Fish & Seafood restaurant
guide name: Niko BellicTourist from Canada here, stayed four days in London, this is the only restaurant I have eaten at during my trip and the food was absolutely excellent, however, I ordered a drink which I never received and had to ask for it, and I was never checked on by the staff to see how my meal was, so I had to just go without enough tartar sauce for my fish and chips, I wasn’t about to go out of my way to flag them down. I shouldn’t have to do that. The redeeming quality is that the manager was extremely nice. However, given the fact that there are literally hundreds and hundreds of seafood/fish and chips places all over London, if you are a tourist here looking for a nice place to eat I would recommend giving this one a pass. I guess I should add for context the waitress I had was a tall, black haired, younger lady.

The Queens Arms
guide name: Elisa HarrisHad the best experience- from service to dining to atmosphere!! Highly reactive celiac member of party was able to eat nearly everything on the menu and Eliz explained in detail the precautions and how they could safely manage her needs. Eliz and the entire waitstaff was amazing - the food was gorgeous in presentation and tasted even better. Cannot say enough good things! And the dessert was out of this world!

Fentiman Arms
guide name: Blank SlaateWe came here for a Sunday roast and they did not disappoint. We were welcomed by the hostess and everyone else in the restaurant. They were super accommodating in seating us, and we never had to flag anyone down once we’d been sat at our table. My chicken roast was heavenly; chicken was tasty, juicy, and all the veggies cooked perfectly. The pudding was perfect as well. We had a few starters, and dessert as well. It was my first time but Fentiman’s had been recommended to me by two different groups of people so I knew it had to be good. Atmosphere was nice, everyone was in good spirits and I liked how there was ample space in the establishment. Definitely go there for a superb roast or even just an afternoon hangout.
