Burgess Park
Spent the afternoon playing tennis at Burgess Park, and it was honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made this week. The courts are set against a backdrop of open greenery, and with the sun out, the whole space had a really clean, refreshing vibe. The blue surface of the court contrasts beautifully with the surrounding park — it almost feels like you’re playing in a postcard. After a good match, I walked over to a nearby coffee shop just off the park. It’s a small, quiet spot with outdoor seating, perfect for cooling down. I grabbed an iced latte and sat back, watching the late afternoon settle in. Between the match, the scenery, and the coffee, it was the perfect mix of activity and downtime. It’s wheelchair friendly!

Zeret Kitchen
Went here for my birthday today, excellent service and lovely cuisine. The owners are very friendly and attentive, the food was irresistible and tasty. I would particularly recommend the kategna, surprise platter and the Ethiopian coffee ceremony. Would come again.

Silk Road
We were big fans of this place in its rustic former incarnation, so worried about the refurbishment, but fears were unfounded. It’s been done really tastefully and the food is better than we remembered it. Somehow the prices don’t seem to have been bumped up for the renovation either. The pork with black fungus, as well as the aubergine were particularly memorable.

The Camberwell Arms
Absolutely outstanding. I had dinner with friends at The Camberwell Arms and it was honestly a fantastic meal. Every dish was beautifully cooked and full of flavour. The service was genuinely perfect: warm, attentive without being intrusive, and everyone we spoke to was just lovely ❤️

Ganapati
The food was amazing as was the hospitality of the super friendly owner herself, the talented chefs and Johann our server. He is an artist in the way he delivers the menu choices. We had decision paralysis as everything sounded so good. He asked what we liked, if we had any allergies and recommended dishes accordingly. Haven't seen anyone enjoy what they do in such a long while and also do it well!! He could sell water to a fish! Would recommend.

Love Walk Cafe Camberwell
very cute cafe! great little find whilst on a walk around the area this morning. ☕️ service was amazing and both people were smiley and friendly. they have alternative milks available and a selection of drinks both hot and cold. make sure to pick up a little loyalty card so when you can come back and try it all you can get a reward ! 🎊 lots of seating on the main level but they have a downstairs too! they also reserve seating on the level floor for prams and wheelchairs! i didn’t have food on this occasion but it did look delicious - i will be back! 🫶

The Victoria Inn
I have stayed here twice now and it is 11/10. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, the beds are the comfiest I’ve ever slept in (I slept almost an entire day when I was there) and the staff are so friendly and helpful. They helped me unwind during a really stressful couple of weeks at work! Make sure you get breakfast included or dine at the pub because the pub grub is perfect. Shout out to the Kiwi manager and the other female manager who helped look after me (I sadly didn’t catch their names). They’re both incredible!

M.Manze - Peckham
A True London Classic – Manze’s Never Disappoints! Manze’s in Peckham is a gem of traditional London heritage. I popped in for pie and mash, and left feeling like I’d stepped back into a golden era of honest, comforting food. The pie was perfectly baked, packed with rich, savory filling, and the mash was smooth and creamy—just how it should be. But the real star? That legendary liquor. Fresh, herby, and utterly nostalgic. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the old-school atmosphere adds to the whole experience. It’s rare to find a place that holds onto its roots while still serving up quality with every plate. If you want a real taste of London, this is the place. Can’t wait to return!

Bolu Restaurant and Takeaway
A really good restaurant for mix kebab. We went in when it was a little busy but the waitress acknowledged us and asked us to wait a little before taking our order. We were given salad and bread with a mix of sauces as well as some hummus and olives whilst waiting for our main to come. The mix kebab which came was huge and plenty for two people. You get to choose if you want chips or rice as a side but we asked if it was possible to have a little of both to which they accommodated. Once we were done, we were then given baklavas to finish our meal. Please note their dine in menu is slightly more expensive than their takeaway menu. However they do not take service charge so no surprise addition to your bill at the end, only what you see on the menu!

SoulFood Peckham
Suchhhh flavourful and juicy chicken that fell off the bone. The coleslaw wasn’t too mayonnaisey and there wasn’t too much - over doing the chicken so grateful for that. There was plenty of chicken - great portion size. Jerk sauce was so rich, rice perfectly cooked and my craving for jerk chicken at 13 on a Sunday afternoon has been satisfied. Lovely friendly set up and staff. Not too much seating but of course mostly takeout. Cash and card. Perfect for an amazing meal that will fill you up and taste amazing
